The site of Lower Hill encompasses a traditional Georgian Cottage, artisan wood cabin, along with 9 acres of private, rewilded land, bisected by a beautiful, winding stream.
The Cottage
Sympathetically restored to its Georgian roots, Lower hill cottage embellishes all of the nuanced beauty of the materials which have moved through the house over its 300 years. From doors, cut to size, found in the churchyard of Login, to peelings of wallpaper through the ages, the cottage has been refashioned to an open plan living space both upstairs and downstairs, creating a beautifully open, yet comfortably rustic living environment, bursting with artistry and history to imbue inspiration and expansion.
Y Caban
Built entirely from wood from a local forest, and reclaimed and recycled materials sourced from the local area, with the view of creating a structure lending itself to congruity in its environment whilst showcasing the beauty of time and its effect on natural materials. Echoing the open plan flow of Lower Hill, it faces South, offering a wondrous view on the surrounding wild fields below.
The 9 acre site of Lower hill and Y Caban, is bisected by a beautiful stream which runs through the 4 rewilded fields.
