Description:
Family home in West Sussex shortlisted for RIBA House of the Year 2019. The property is inspired by 1979 sci-fi film 'Stalker' and has an ominous and futuristic feel. A brickwork facade with arched windows contrasts against a concrete interior. The house revolves around a double heighted hall where the kitchen and diner is located. Interiors effectively balance between modern and old, with traditional furniture, tapestries and antiques mixed with concrete walls, modern artwork and bold colour choices. The property has an isolated feel with surrounding fields and woodland.
